The Alaskan Klee Kai is a small version of the Alaskan Husky with the wedge-shaped cranium. They have an amazing masked face, double coat and prick ears. The body length is a little longer than their height.
Overview
This type of breed had been developed in the 1970’s in Alaska. They were breed as companions and quite new when they have only been familiar with UKC in 1997.
Coat
This is a twice coat breed. They look well-furred, heavier at ruff of neck and tail. They shed greatly twice a year and are standard shredders. This Alaskan Klee Kai arrives in 4 main color varieties. Black and white, it may show with stark contrasts or an extra attenuate diffusion of colors; white and gray that come in numerous variations like red and white, which looks as a cinnamon or dark auburn or shades of white.
Activity
A securely fenced yard keeps these dogs happy. They are amazing escape artists, so fences must be set deeply into the ground to keep them from digging, and tall enough to avoid jumping. Regular exercise daily and family interaction should help them be physically and mentally satisfied.
Temperament
The classic Alaskan Klee Kai is very smart, agile, and extremely devoted. They flourish on companionship and notice. They are measured as “talkers” as they produce vocal sounds all time they want concentration. They are fine with children, and gets all along with other pets they have elevated beside with. Care
The breed is quite easy to care for. They do not include a doggy smell and dog mouthful of air. They don’t want common baths, and must only be done when essential. This type of breed blows their coat double in a year. It is top to groom them often at this time because they become matted if not brushed. In general, they are self enough, with the capability to clean them. But, regular groom methods are also should and could be a chance to link with them.
They have no identified heritable defects. But, they may experience health issues that have to be open yet due to the breed’s moderately small gene pool and youthful age.
Training
Early widespread socialization is should they do well in compliance training. They need fairness, insistence, reliability, and will act in response feebly with violent handling.
Character
The Alaskan Klee Kai is very loyal energetic, and loving with family. They are distant and extremely doubtful of strangers that make them outstanding guard dogs. A highly bright, agile, very nosy little dog, it should not be a blow that this being will rapidly become a significant part of any family that chooses to assume one.
